I was sitting right at the edge of the circus piste. The huge tent was dark and noisy, the spotlight focused on the tunnel leading into the newly fenced off space. Suddenly five huge yellow and black tigers streaked in, silent and fast. The trainer entered from a side gate, and ordered each one onto brightly painted pedestals. He seemed diminutive next to the huge animals. They were staring at him menacingly, unblinking. The largest snarled and threatened him with a claw stretched paw. Undaunted, the man grabbed a big hoop, which he set aflame as if by magic. Raising it, he called out to the huge beast. You could hear a pin drop… Roman arenas featured tiger acts. European kings imported exotic animals from far away countries, complete with trainers and servants. Circus toys never cease to fascinate children of all times and ages. Our fearless Tiger is made of hand cut tole, brightly hand painted, expertly distressed and aged to make it resemble those favorite toys from yesteryear. Limited Edition
